Solar system is something which is not unknown to anyone nowadays but have you ever imagine how intense this solar system is? And how many mysteries it is carrying in it.  Yes! The solar system is the most mysterious thing created by God and up till now some of its regions have not been conquered by human. Almost everyone has read about the solar system during some standard of their education but still it would not be totally correct if you say that you know all and everything about the solar system
Apart from just sun, moons, planets the solar system contains a plethora of different elements like dust, stones, asteroids, gas and others, here I am going to give you some of the really interesting and amazing facts about the solar system with which you will surely not be aware.

  • The 99.86% of solar system’s mass is made up of sun and this means that the huge count of asteroids and the planets are making just 0.14 percent of the total solar systems mass.
  • Most of us have studied at our school and college level that the solar system carries 9 planets but in 2006, International Astronomical Union revealed that Pluto is not a planet and solar system carries only 8 planets. The reason might be because Pluto is just a fraction of mass of its orbit while the other planets are many times massive than the masses in their objects.
  • Uranus is the only planet of solar system which lies to its side and no one has yet been able to provide a solid description of this thing.
  • The density of Saturn is so low that if you’ll put it in the water then it will start floating.
  • The width of sun is about 1.4 million kilometers.
  • The age of this solar system was also calculated by scientists and astronauts and according to them this glorious system is 5 billion years old.
  • The largest planet of this solar system is Jupiter and it is also the fastest one as well, it completes its one rotation around the sun in 9 hours and 55 minutes.
  • Pluto is also referred to as dwarf planet because it is the smallest one of all the other planets of solar system.
  • The sun is also claimed to be the star in the galaxy of 200 billion stars.

  • Saturn’s moon Iapetus has been claimed to be the very curious moon and it seems to have a split personality because the one side of this planet is covered with a material which is even darker than the black velvet and the other half is covered with the material that is even brighter than snow.
